Build Your First Agentic Workflow with MCP, Kafka, and HTTP
Abstract
What does it take to move an AI agent beyond answering questions and actually interacting with real systems? In this session, we’ll build a simple agentic workflow using MCP, connecting an AI agent to both an HTTP backend and Apache Kafka. We’ll see how the agent discovers tools, chooses the right one based on the user’s request, retrieves information, and takes action. Along the way, we’ll break down the architecture and share practical lessons for building agentic applications that can work with real-world backend systems.
